Kiabi, a French fashion retailer, has stated its aim to join the Indian market and is looking for locations to open stores in significant metropolises.

Prior to the pandemic, Kiabi had intended to enter the Indian market; however, the procedure had to be postponed because of the health emergency. In order to display its whole product line, the shop is thinking of constructing large format storefronts.

For apparel retailers, the Indian market offers a huge opportunity for expansion, especially given the expanding middle class and rising demand for branded clothing. Western attire is becoming increasingly popular throughout the nation, which attracts foreign clothing businesses.

The Association Familiale Mulliez, which also owns the grocery chain Auchan and the sportswear retailer Decathlon, is the company behind the global retail brand Kiabi, which presently has operations in about 15 countries.
