The Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC) has introduced the “ApneGhar Se KareSilayiKaPrashikaran” (Stitching Training from Home) online free skill training programme to assist the “AzadiKaAmritMahotsva” initiative by teaching bag-making techniques. All female candidates who want to learn the fundamentals of stitching from their homes are welcome to participate in this programme, which is run by an industry expert from the clothing sector. According to a statement from AMHSSC, the training module would be completed in 4 days (two hour sessions each day). The Council is expecting positive feedback from this programme and plans to launch more of them soon.

“The Government is phasing away single-payer health care,” stated Dr. RoopakVasishtha, CEO of the AMHSSC. These participants, on successful completion of the training modules, will be further connected with the apparel manufacturing units for better opportunities. Importantly, they would be skilled to start stitching their own apparel and would also help those willing to start their own business.
