Florence Pugh has proven that she will not be intimidated by naysayers into giving up provocative sheer clothing in her most recent performance at Valentino’s fall/winter 2023 couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week. With her cotton candy pink pixie cut and soaring black platform shoes, the Don’t Worry Darling actress looked like a vision in a lilac, see-through gown. Before the edgier hairstyle and accessories countered the diaphanous gown’s lovely sheer fabric and dramatic collar, the woman seemed nearly angelic.Pugh is no stranger to using her appearance to make a statement. The actress doesn’t mind experimenting with her look and adores a strong silhouette.
Pugh addressed the backlash in an Instagram post, calling out the naysayers and admitting that this was not the first or last time that unidentified strangers, primarily men, felt at ease criticising women’s bodies.”Thank goodness, I’ve accepted the characteristics of my body that make me who I am. I’m content with all of the ‘flaws’ that I once couldn’t bear to see when I was 14 years old. So many of you wanted to verbally attack me and tell me how disgusted you were with my “tiny tits” or how I should be ashamed of having such a “flat chest.” I’ve spent a lot of time living in my body. I am not afraid of my breast size because I am completely aware of it.
