FitFlop, a UK-based brand known for its ergonomic and wellness-focused footwear, is embarking on international expansion by opening its largest retail space in the Middle East.

Located in Abu Dhabi, this store marks a significant step in FitFlop’s global retail strategy, adding to its existing 145 standalone stores worldwide. Covering an area of 2,142 square feet in The Galleria, the store showcases FitFlop’s latest retail design concept, featuring their signature technology wall highlighting four key FitFlop technologies: iQushion, Anatomicush, Microwobbleboard, and Neodynamic.

David Schüttenkopf, FitFlop’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement about the brand’s partnership with Source Rite, highlighting the opening of their 9th store in the region and plans for an additional store in early 2024. He emphasized that this Abu Dhabi flagship store represents FitFlop’s commitment to offering an enriched brand experience in physical retail spaces and reaching new consumers in vital markets.

Ranjeev Kimatrai, Managing Director and Partner at Source Rite, underscored the demand for FitFlop products, especially in their men’s collection, even noting acceptance by the UAE Royal Family. Kimatrai explained that the decision to open the largest FitFlop store globally at The Galleria aimed to showcase the brand’s new styles and complete range of technologies, aligning with the increasing number of visitors to Abu Dhabi and Source Rite’s commitment to expanding its retail footprint in reputable shopping malls in the region.
