During the first phase of cotton processing, known as ginning, FibreTrace® incorporates luminous pigments into raw cotton to create a distinctive signature that allows the pigments to be tracked and identified across the world’s supply chain. Target Corp. may increase the value of digital-only traceability solutions by utilizing FibreTrace’s technology to trace

Following the initial marking of U.S. cotton in November 2023, the cooperation will mark 50,000 metric tons of raw cotton from Brazil and the United States in the first year. Through this partnership, real-time verification of Brazilian and American cotton will be possible, guaranteeing authenticity and trustworthiness throughout the whole production process.

FibreTrace® Founder & Managing Director Danielle Statham stated, “We hope that this partnership will inspire a ripple effect of change, demonstrating to other companies what is possible.” “We encourage other brands to follow our lead because of the level of traceability this partnership offers to customers.”
