We time travel across the decades and recreate some of the iconic looks of the leading ladies who made the era their own as India celebrates its diamond jubilee of independence. Paoli Dam and Sohini Sarkar, the prominent ladies of Byomkesh Hotyamancha, are travelling with us on this unforgettable journey. While Sohini is at comfortable channellingSridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and DeepikaPadukone, Paoli brings to life the classic beauties Suraiya, WaheedaRehman, Sharmila Tagore, and ZeenatAman. 1940s

Sohini recreates Sridevi’s look in this blue chiffon sari from the famous Kate nahinkatte in Mr. India (1987). #sizzle

One of Madhuri Dixit’s iconic looks from Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994) is this purple sari by Anna Singh. The film is almost synonymous with this Diditeradevardeewana costume. And, after nearly three decades, we still can’t stop crushing on the loaded-with-glamour look.
