eVent® Fabrics, known for its high-performance breathable waterproof, weatherproof, and windproof laminates, has entered into a first-to-market collaboration with Italian cycling brand Alé. Through this partnership, Alé becomes the first cycling label to launch apparel crafted with eVent’s PFAS-free stormburstLT laminate, delivering advanced protection and comfort for riders.
Introduced in early 2025, the stormburstLT laminate has already been adopted across select activewear, but this marks its debut in cycling.
“Our stormburstLT laminate is ideal for high intensity activities and our partnership with Alé will give cyclists an incredible option for high performance weather protection,” said Chad Kelly, President of eVent Fabrics. “stormburstLT is a perfect laminate for cycling apparel, providing the right blend of breathability, dynamic movement, and weather protection to keep cyclists comfortable and performing at their best in challenging weather conditions.”
Engineered for lightweight performance and demanding conditions, stormburstLT offers stretch, high breathability, water repellency, and comfort across variable weather. Being PFAS-free, the laminate also strengthens eVent’s commitment to sustainable, next-gen technologies.
In collaboration with ITTTAI, a premium Italian manufacturer of technical fabrics and apparel, Alé has launched two new cycling jackets featuring stormburstLT:
-
FAN Jacket (€215, Men & Women): Built for winter riding (-3 to 6℃) with a 3-layer laminate, fleece lining with a 3D hexagonal structure, and Alé’s Body Mapping system. Provides warmth, water repellency, and breathability for endurance rides.
-
TRACCIA Jacket (€195, Men): A lighter, slimmed-down version designed for fall and spring rides (0–12℃), focusing on heat dissipation during high-output efforts. Enhanced with aerodynamic cuffs, rear grip hem, and reflective branding for visibility.
With this partnership, Alé sets a new benchmark in cycling apparel by combining eVent’s advanced laminate technology with Italian design expertise.
