Empowering Fashion: CM Sukhu Inspires Youth at National Fashion Week in Shimla

In a vibrant display of fashion and determination, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu addressed the audience at the National Fashion Week in Shimla, emphasizing the importance of setting clear goals and maintaining unwavering commitment to achieving success. Speaking on Tuesday evening, Sukhu inspired the youth to harness their willpower, asserting that no objective can be met without it.

The Chief Minister also took this opportunity to encourage young people to steer clear of drugs and engage in positive activities, such as sports and other constructive endeavours. He reiterated the state government’s stringent actions against drug trafficking to protect the future of the youth in Himachal Pradesh.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives to promote tourism, Sukhu announced plans for a Winter Carnival in Shimla that will serve as a platform for showcasing emerging talent through cultural programs. He expressed his vision of incorporating fashion shows into future festivities, further intertwining culture and fashion in the state’s tourism strategy.

During the event, Sukhu celebrated the achievements of Himachal Pradesh’s daughters, who are making significant contributions across various fields. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing education and healthcare sectors, aiming for a more prosperous and self-reliant state.

The fashion spectacle also featured the Mr North India Supermodel contest, where Suryansh Chandel from Sundernagar clinched the top spot. Karthikeyan Thakur from Mohali and Suyansh Dhingra from Faridabad followed as first and second runners-up, respectively. In the Miss North India Supermodel contest, Simone Mehta from Rohru was crowned winner, with Shreya Thakur and Savita Thakur taking first and second runner-up positions. Contestants from four states showcased their talents in this competitive arena.

As part of the ceremony, CM Sukhu honoured the winners and recognized Kuldeep Sharma, affectionately known as ‘Nati King,’ with the prestigious ‘Heera of Himachal’ award for his invaluable contributions to the state’s cultural heritage.

The National Fashion Week not only celebrated fashion but also served as a beacon of hope and inspiration for the youth of Himachal Pradesh, aligning with Sukhu’s vision of a vibrant future rooted in determination and creativity.
