EBG Group to Develop Integrated Wellness Destination in Ongole
EBG Group is set to commence a landmark integrated development in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, with spiritual leader Pujya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji scheduled to lay the foundation stones for three key initiatives on 19 August 2026.
The development, being undertaken by EBG Realty, the real estate arm of EBG Group, will comprise the Carlton Wellness Retreat, Sri Sri Panchakarma & Tattva Centre and Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir. Together, the projects are envisioned as an integrated ecosystem bringing wellness hospitality, Ayurveda, education, yoga, meditation, nature and community living into a single destination.
The foundation ceremony will take place at 9:15 AM at Sai Vishnu Chaturvatika, NH 216, Chadalavada, Ongole, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh, marking the formal beginning of the larger development focused on wellness, mindful living and values-based education.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Irfan Khan, Founder & Chairman, EBG Group, said, “Some moments are bigger than business, and this is one such moment for all of us at EBG Group. To have Pujya Gurudev personally grace Ongole and bless the foundation of this vision is an extraordinary honour and responsibility. We are not looking at three individual projects or three buildings. We are trying to create an ecosystem where wellness, education, nature, spirituality and community can become part of everyday life. Our sincere aspiration is that what begins on 19 August will continue to create wellbeing and serve generations long after us.”
The Carlton Wellness Retreat is planned as an immersive hospitality destination focused on rest, rejuvenation and transformative experiences, combining nature, hospitality and mindful living.
The Sri Sri Panchakarma & Tattva Centre will focus on traditional Ayurveda and Panchakarma practices, with an emphasis on rejuvenation, preventive wellness and holistic wellbeing.
The Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir will introduce values-based holistic education within the development, combining academic learning with character building, cultural awareness, compassion and the overall development of children.
Together, the initiatives aim to create a destination where wellness becomes part of everyday life, offering spaces for visitors and residents to heal, learn, pause and reconnect.
The project also seeks to position Ongole as a new destination for conscious living and wellness tourism. EBG Group envisions the development as Andhra Pradesh’s first carbon-neutral wellness frontier, demonstrating how Tier-2 destinations can leverage natural assets to create new tourism economies.
Responsible construction, energy-efficient design, green spaces, water-conscious planning and clean mobility are expected to form part of the development. Drawing on EBG Group’s experience in sustainable mobility, the project aims to integrate hospitality, education, Ayurveda and community living while maintaining sensitivity to the surrounding environment.
