DuPont Water Solutions Introduces Smart Water Reuse Technologies at IFAT India 2025

DuPont Water Solutions unveiled its latest smart technologies for efficient water reuse at IFAT India 2025, held from October 14–16 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. As India advances toward sustainable water management, these innovations help industries and municipalities treat, recycle, and reuse water more effectively.

The company’s new-generation systems focus on improving water recovery while cutting energy use and enhancing operational reliability. Moreover, they are built to handle tough water conditions, helping users save energy, reduce maintenance, and lower overall costs.

New Technologies Launched

At IFAT India 2025, DuPont showcased advanced membranes designed to handle high salt concentrations and minimize cleaning needs. These solutions also reduce chemical consumption and energy use, making water reuse easier and more sustainable. The new membranes can concentrate salty water up to 25%, reduce operating costs by up to 34%, and extend equipment life.

Furthermore, DuPont experts engaged with industry leaders and policymakers to discuss how these innovations can support India’s sustainability and circular water goals. Through collaboration, the company continues to promote smarter and more efficient water systems worldwide.

Supporting India’s Water Goals

Tanmeet Singh Gulati, Regional Commercial Director – Asia Pacific, said,
“Our innovation pipeline focuses on real impact. We aim to reduce water footprint, optimize recovery, and help achieve ESG and Net Zero goals. Our technologies ensure that economic growth and water stewardship progress together.”

Chrys Fernandes, Business Head – India Sub-region, DuPont Water Solutions, added,
“India is rethinking how water is treated, reused, and sustained. DuPont is proud to lead this shift. We enable industries and municipalities to move beyond compliance and focus on performance-driven water reuse and sustainability.”

Impact Highlights

DuPont’s advanced solutions already help Indian industries and utilities achieve measurable results:

  • Up to 90% water recovery

  • Up to 50% energy savings

  • Longer membrane life with reduced maintenance through smart design and digital optimization

During IFAT India 2025, DuPont experts also collaborated with partners and policymakers to explore ways to strengthen water infrastructure. As a result, the company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting India’s vision for a sustainable and resilient future.
