DeshpandeStartups, India’s largest technology business incubator, recentlyon boarded45 early revenue stage startups to its DS-NIDHI Accelerator &WeEnable Bharat-Women Accelerator Program. The 16-week cohort-driven, structured, high-touch market and investment-focused program will help them to accelerate their growth, improve existing processes and explore new business opportunities. It will also involve intense mentoring, intervention in the area of constraint, and providing access to strategic resources to scale their business rapidly.
DeshpandeStartups has designed a unique market-focused accelerator program named “NIDHI ACCELERATOR” supported by NIDHI Accelerator, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India and “WeENABLE BHARAT – WOMEN ACCELERATOR” supported by Elevate women Initiative, Govt of Karnataka. The programsfocus on enabling tech start-ups led by men and women to be market and investment-ready. The current cohort includes 30 women-led tech start-ups.
The onboarding day marked the presence of dignitaries such as Mrs Champa E, GM, KITS; Mrs ShravaniPawar, CEO, Safehands; Ms ShrutiSinghal, Regional Head, Indian Angel Network; Ms Rohini G, CEO, WideMobilty Pvt Ltd, and Mr AravindChinchure, CEO, DeshpandeStartups.
Speaking about this, Mr AravindChinchure, CEO, DeshpandeStartups, said, “In the recent years, start-ups have been clearly recognized on the economic agenda, including efforts to promote entrepreneurship. Initiated in 2016, DeshpandeStartups is today India’s largest and most comprehensive platform of its kind. Recognised by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, as a Technology Business Incubator, it has supported and enabled over 275 startups with grants and investments worth 25 crores.
79% of these startups stem from small towns. Over 115 patents and trademarks have been filed. Over 120 products have been commercialized. Over Rs. 230 crores have been generated in revenue and over 3000 employment opportunities have been created.
