Decathlon Reports Strong Growth in 2025 with Rising Sales and Sustainability Milestones

France-based sports retailer Decathlon has reported robust growth in 2025, marked by strong financial performance, global expansion, and significant progress in sustainability and people-focused initiatives.

Full-Year Financial Performance

In 2025, the company recorded a 7.1% increase in gross merchandise volume (GMV), reaching €20.7 billion after currency adjustments. Net sales rose by 5.6% in local currencies and 4.0% on a comparable basis, totalling €16.8 billion.

Profitability also improved significantly, with EBITDA growing by 21% to €1.8 billion, while net income increased by 16% to €910 million. These figures reflect strong operational efficiency and sustained consumer demand across global markets.

Decathlon continued its international expansion, operating in over 80 countries and regions with a retail network of 1,902 stores. The company sold 1.23 billion products across all channels during the year.

Throughout 2025, Decathlon strengthened its global sports partnerships and expanded its cycling segment, including ownership of a professional cycling team. The company also advanced its investments in sustainable mobility and circular economy initiatives through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

  • Reduced carbon emissions by 16% since 2021
  • Ecodesigned products accounted for 53.9% of total sales
  • Sold 1.6 million second-hand products across 43 markets

  • 89.4% of electricity consumption sourced from renewable energy
  • Eliminated on-site coal use among Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
