Crystal International has expanded its commitment to employee wellbeing through a large-scale Vision Screening Programme across Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Cambodia, reaching over 38,000 workers.

Rooted in its people-focused sustainability strategy under Crystal Sustainability Vision 2030, the initiative aims to make eye care more accessible within its global supply chain while improving workplace safety and inclusion.

Launched in Vietnam in 2024 and later scaled in partnership with non-profit organisations in 2025, the programme now spans 10 factories across three countries. So far, more than 38,000 employees have undergone professional eye examinations on-site, and around 12,800 workers diagnosed with vision issues have been provided free eyeglasses.

For many, this marks their first experience of wearing corrective lenses. Along with receiving glasses, workers were guided on selecting appropriate frames and educated on their proper use and maintenance in factory settings.

The programme has significantly improved visual comfort, daily quality of life, and potentially enhanced productivity among employees. It also reinforces Crystal International’s broader focus on holistic wellbeing, including physical and mental health support.

Company representatives highlighted that good vision directly contributes to both safety and efficiency at work, underlining the importance of preventive healthcare initiatives within industrial environments.

Crystal International continues to strengthen its long-term sustainability approach by integrating employee care into its operations and plans to further expand health-focused programmes across its global workforce.
