Dhruv Kaura, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Tasva ethnic wear brand at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL) Ltd., has announced his departure from the company via a post on LinkedIn. In his post, Kaura acknowledged that goodbyes are never easy, especially when one has invested their heart and soul into a startup and swiftly brought it to a commendable level.

Tasva, a men’s ethnic wear brand, was established in 2021, initially opening its doors in Bengaluru. Since then, it has expanded to 65 stores across 30 cities, including its most recent addition at Oberoi Mall in Goregaon, Mumbai.

Kaura expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to build TASVA with the Aditya Birla Group alongside renowned fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani. He mentioned that the experience would provide valuable lessons for his future endeavours. Kaura’s LinkedIn profile also stated his ambitious plans to surpass 100 Tasva stores in major trade zones of India by the end of the financial year 2024.

Although the reasons behind Kaura’s departure before achieving this goal are unknown, his tenure at ABFRL, which began in May 2022, involved contributing to the brand’s go-to-market strategy. Before joining ABFRL, Kaura accumulated 7.5 years of experience at Adidas and 5 years at Bata.
