Converse has introduced a collaborative collection with French designer Isabel Marant in the Indian market. The line offers buyers in the country a Parisian spin on the brand’s famous shoes, such as the Chuck 70 Wedge and traditional Chuck 70.

The collaborative collection debuted on Converse’s direct-to-consumer e-commerce store for the Indian market on September 12 and with multi-brand sneaker retailers VegNonVeg and Limited Edt on September 13th. Isabel Marant spearheaded the sneaker wedge trend of the 2010s and, with the decade returning to fashion, has recreated the style for today’s buyers with texture and splashes of color.

“Isabel Marant has a distinct point of view, famously living at the juxtaposition between high and low,” Converse stated in a news release. “Defined by principles such as spontaneity, individuality, and natural elegance, Isabel Marant finds freedom in being surprising and breaking the mold. She’s not scared to forge her own path and is drawn to the journey rather than the destination—values that Converse surely shares.”

Converse, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nike Inc. It was founded in 1908 as a rubber manufacturer. Today, the company is well known for its Chuck Taylor All Star, One Star, and Weapon sneaker styles, and it has strong ties to the global creative, basketball, and skateboarding communities.
