The artist Brianna Lance has collaborated with fashion company & Other Stories on a capsule collection that will debut on June 20. The four items in the “Visionary” capsule collection for summer include a dress, a jumpsuit, and two kaftans. Original artwork made particularly for the partnership features mysterious details from Lance’s fantasy world in each piece.
According to a statement from & Other Stories, the capsule demonstrates an inventive use of zero-waste patterns by including paintings by Lance that are incredibly detailed and full of mystical and symbolic meaning.
Every item was made with care to guarantee that no textile fabric was lost in the manufacturing process. For instance, the leftover fabric pieces from cutting off the jumpsuit’s neckline were utilized to make a pocket on the same item. For a superior finish, the artwork was also transferred onto the goods using a digital printing method.
Frida Billegren, & Other Stories’ atelier designer, stated: “I adore Brianna’s paintings because of their captivating storytelling and whimsical nature. Additionally, it has the most exquisite color scheme. Her art was just what I had in mind for this collection.
Lance continued, “I am very excited about this collaboration because it provides a unique opportunity for people to engage with my art,” about the capsule collection. “It’s wonderful that people who are unable to afford a painted piece of art can still invest in a dress, providing an affordable and accessible means of residing with the artwork.” Amazingly, there are several avenues for individuals to acquire or interact with my work.
