The 5th edition of the Fabrics, Accessories & Beyond (FAB) Show, organized by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), concluded successfully at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, from April 21 to 23, 2025. Supported by the Government of Maharashtra, SGCCI, and 15 leading industry associations, the show highlighted India’s growing prominence in the global textile and apparel sector.

Drawing over 12,000 trade visitors from 350+ cities and 90 overseas buyers from 23 countries, including the US, Bangladesh, Egypt, and UAE, FAB Show 2025 reflected the sector’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and technology. Over 250 exhibitors showcased a dynamic blend of cutting-edge fabrics, accessories, and eco-conscious innovations.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, and featured a Knowledge Series spotlighting critical topics like AI applications, textile waste management, and certifications, preparing the industry for a future driven by responsible practices and smart solutions.

Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, stated, “FAB Show is about transformation, not just business. It’s about innovation, sustainability, and collaboration setting India on the path to becoming a global sourcing hub.”

Highlighting shifting global trade dynamics, Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI, emphasized that U.S. tariff hikes on imports from countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam present a timely opportunity for India to expand its role as a major sourcing destination.

Sustainability took center stage this year with a dedicated pavilion featuring over 20 vendors and a Sustainability Fashion Show where designers showcased eco-friendly collections.

Naveen Sainani, Chairman of FAB Show, added, “CMAI remains dedicated to advancing sustainability in the textile value chain, ensuring fashion evolves with responsibility.”

The 5th FAB Show 2025 strengthened India’s positioning on the global stage and laid a strong foundation for the future of textiles and apparel with a focus on innovation, environmental responsibility, and global partnerships.
