The innovative personal care brand, Clensta, is making significant strides in extending its product
range to more countries worldwide. Having already established a presence in Malaysia, the US, and
Saudi Arabia, Clensta is now gearing up to introduce its products in Nepal, Bangladesh, UAE, and the
GCC region by the end of this financial year. The company aims to bolster its international footprint,
targeting a global presence in over 20 countries by FY-24, with the objective of generating 10% of its
revenue from overseas sales.

Ashish Mishra, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of Clensta, highlighted the promising prospects in the growing African market. Emphasizing the untapped potential in Africa’s personal care sector, the brand is partnering with Carrefour, a significant retail player, to penetrate this market. This collaboration showcases the acceptance of Clensta’s waterless products on a global scale, fueling their drive for further international expansion into regions with a demand for innovative personal care solutions.

In April of the current year, Clensta made its initial entry into Africa by establishing a limited presence in Uganda. To broaden its reach across the continent, Clensta has partnered with Carrefour Africa to make its pioneering waterless personal hygiene range widely accessible to African consumers.

Puneet Gupta, Founder and CEO of Clensta, highlighted the strategic approach to target markets with higher purchasing power. Leveraging their growing brand acceptance, especially with Parineeti’s involvement, and with a proficient sales team led by Ashish, Clensta aims to tap into international markets’ organic demands. Gupta emphasized the advantages of a global presence for a startup, citing opportunities for better margins and reduced competition compared to the domestic market, given the higher entry barriers. Additionally, he emphasized Clensta’s significant growth not just internationally but also domestically.
