Circ, a global leader in textile recycling innovation, has announced a new partnership with Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. to accelerate the commercial adoption of recycled pulp in fibre production.
The collaboration aims to strengthen Circ’s growing network of fibre manufacturing partners and expand the availability of recycled-content fibres for the global fashion industry.
Strengthening Circular Textile Manufacturing
Under the agreement, Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. will serve as a commercial manufacturing partner for Circ in China. The company will produce recycled-content viscose filament using Circ’s recycled pulp technology for use by global fashion brands and textile mills.
This partnership marks a strategic step in Circ’s expansion across Asia and reinforces its position within China’s rapidly evolving circular textile ecosystem.
A Major Player in Man-Made Cellulosic Fibres
Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber is part of the Xinxiang Bailu Investment Group, established in 1960. Its core subsidiary, Xinxiang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd., was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1999.
The company manufactures more than ten categories of products, including:
-
Viscose filament
-
Spandex fibres
-
Other man-made cellulosic fibre products
Today, the company is recognised as one of the world’s largest producers of viscose filament, with the highest production capacity globally.
Advancing the Circular Textile Economy
Commenting on the partnership, Peter Majeranowski said the collaboration represents an important milestone for scaling circular fibre production.
“This agreement marks an important step in deepening Circ’s presence in Asia and expanding the global network of manufacturing partners who share our vision for circularity. By anchoring our technology within the world’s leading fibre manufacturers, we’re accelerating the shift toward a truly circular textile economy and building the infrastructure required to scale it worldwide.”
Promoting Sustainable Innovation
Shao Changjin emphasised that the partnership supports innovation and sustainability within the textile and apparel sector.
“Xinxiang Chemical Fiber and Circ join hands in innovation to provide leading solutions for the recycling of textile waste, and jointly promote the green, low-carbon, circular and sustainable development of the textile and apparel industry.”
Supporting Global Fashion Supply Chains
By validating Circ’s recycled pulp technology for large-scale viscose filament production, the partnership advances a closed-loop textile system in China, the world’s largest textile manufacturing hub.
The initiative aims to:
-
Reduce reliance on virgin raw materials
-
Lower the carbon footprint of fibre production
-
Expand access to sustainable fibres for global brands
The collaboration represents another step toward scaling circular textile manufacturing, enabling fashion brands and manufacturers to meet growing sustainability and climate commitments.
