Held from March 11–13, 2026 at the National Exhibition & Convention Center in Shanghai, CHIC Spring 2026 reaffirmed its position as Asia’s leading fashion and lifestyle trade fair. The event brought together 1,291 exhibitors representing 1,335 brands from eight countries and regions, spanning 117,200 sqm. With over 160,000 trade visitors, the fair once again proved its significance as a major business and sourcing platform.

Guided by the theme “In Search of Spring,” the edition reflected an industry navigating transformation, renewal, and emerging opportunities. The exhibition featured 12 well-structured segments covering the entire fashion value chain, enabling efficient sourcing, targeted networking, and streamlined market analysis.

The event highlighted a shifting market landscape in China, where increasing focus is being placed on product quality, value-driven offerings, and clearer segmentation between premium and mass markets. Growth continues to be driven by categories such as sportswear, outdoor, and lifestyle fashion, alongside the rising influence of culturally rooted “Chinese style” aesthetics.

Technological advancements, particularly in automation, digital manufacturing, and AI, are playing a crucial role in reshaping the industry. At the same time, international brands continue to see strong growth potential in China, especially within premium and lifestyle segments, supported by evolving consumer preferences and a growing appetite for brand identity and design.

CHIC Spring 2026 also stood out for its strong business facilitation formats, including CHIC Matching and curated sourcing platforms, which enabled direct engagement between exhibitors and buyers. More than 130 invited buyer groups participated, alongside major digital platforms and retail players, driving focused discussions and faster decision-making.

International participation, while selective, is becoming more strategic, with brands focusing on long-term market entry and partnerships. The presence of 45 international brands underlined CHIC’s continued role as a global bridge connecting markets.

A key highlight was the CHIC Young Blood segment, showcasing emerging designers and next-generation creativity. The segment emphasised storytelling, cultural identity, and experimental design approaches, reflecting the growing influence of Gen Z consumers who prioritise authenticity, individuality, and digital engagement.

With over 100 supporting events, including talks, runway showcases, and expert discussions, the fair fostered knowledge exchange and strategic dialogue on topics such as sustainability, retail transformation, and global expansion.

Overall, CHIC Spring 2026 demonstrated a fashion industry in transition—balancing domestic market shifts with increasing global integration, while reinforcing its role as a critical platform for innovation, collaboration, and long-term growth.
