Chappers, the popular men’s footwear brand that offers tech-enabled customization, has launched its first experimental franchise outlet at College Road, Nashik. Founded by Harshwardhan Patwardhan, Chappers is a brand that leverages the most advanced VR technologies to create unique designs and high-quality handcrafted footwear that is personalized to perfection.
With over 1.4 billion people, India is one of the largest footwear markets globally. However, the existing market realities don’t adequately match the aspirations and expectations of the country’s rapidly growing millennial and youth audience. Even with the largest prominent, one finds the same old shoe patterns or designs that are new but mass-manufactured, lacking personal reflections.

Chappers began the journey by providing unique variations of the famous Kolhapuri chappals for men. Today, it specializes in luxury Kolhapuris. Chappers breaks tradition by offering Kolhapuris in bright hues and intricate embroidery. These are handmade using premium leather with soft foam insoles, providing comfort and reducing foot stress by 60%. The brand now has a diverse range of footwear for men in different styles and designs, including ethnic wear, Pathani, mojdis, loafers, and women’s wear. Limited options for women’s festive footwear are also available, and men’s footwear can be customized from a vast palette of 10,000 plus choices from the customization kiosk.
The designer shoe labels that offer personalization are prohibitively costly for most buyers, especially price-conscious consumers. Chappers has rapidly emerged as a brand that provides designer label personalization, top-quality materials and comfort, and the correct price.
After creating ripples with its revolutionary design and manufacturing approach, the brand has expanded its retail network.
