The top 4PL Integrated Logistics and Supply Chain Company in India, CCI Group, has announced an additional investment of about ₹640 crore to build a 20 lakh square foot Grade-A logistics park in Phase 2, Polivakkam, Chennai. This comes after the business invested ₹250 crore in Phase 1, demonstrating its dedication to developing top-notch logistics facilities in the area.

With its most recent investment, CCI Group has now committed ₹890 crore to the Polivakkam logistics hub, establishing it as a major participant in the supply chain and warehousing ecosystem of India.

Phase 2A, a standard requirement facility scheduled to open by mid-2025, and Phase 2B, which will focus on built-to-suit (BTS) solutions customized to meet industry-specific requirements, make up this expansion’s two strategic components.

Chennai is becoming a major supply chain and logistics hub in South India, and this state-of-the-art facility will serve a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, FMCG, e-commerce, and automotive. Built to international standards, it will include automated shutters, passive air ventilation that ensures six air changes per hour for better air quality, and FM2 flooring for increased load-bearing capacity and smooth products flow.

Clients may effectively arrange their heavy-load racking systems and high-clearance bays thanks to the facility’s thoughtfully designed optimal space use, which ensures operational efficiency across multiple sectors. Although there are no pre-built temperature-controlled zones in the facility, they can be modified to satisfy certain needs under the Tenant Improvement Scheme (TIS). The facility is designed to be flexible and will function on a plug-and-play format, making it easy for enterprises to scale and deploy operations quickly.

The facility will incorporate a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to process wastewater, which will then be used for flushing and gardening purposes as part of CCI Group’s dedication to sustainability. As a step toward green energy, solar power systems will also be built, lowering dependency on traditional power sources. By optimizing natural lighting, built-in skylights will further improve energy efficiency.

Advanced fire protection equipment, such as sprinklers, fire alarms, and hydrants, will be integrated into the building for increased safety.

At the moment, CCI Group serves more than 1,000 clients in a variety of industries, including retail, chemical, FMCG, healthcare & pharmaceutical, automotive, and e-commerce. The company has managed over 15 million square feet of owned warehouses and logistics parks and has established a strong national presence across 48 cities thanks to its 48 years of industry experience. A fleet of more than 1,200 vehicles and a highly qualified crew of more than 1,000 specialists power its operations. Additionally, CCI has maintained a strong presence in more than 20 airports and seaports throughout India while growing its global presence to operate in over 105 countries.

By making this investment, CCI Group reaffirms its dedication to increasing its logistics network while giving efficiency, sustainability, and forward-thinking solutions first priority in order to meet India’s expanding supply chain demands.”Polivakkam is a key hub in CCI’s long-term expansion plans,” stated Naresh Sharma, Managing Director, CCI Group, in response to the announcement. Because of its closeness to the Sriperumbudur-Oragadam industrial cluster, the area is gradually becoming into a logistics center. By building this new facility, CCI Group hopes to boost the local economy and draw in businesses that depend on first-rate storage facilities. This growth not only strengthens our logistical skills but also demonstrates our steadfast dedication to offering clients adaptable, scalable solutions that meet international standards.
