Cartier Unveils Magnificent Mumbai Boutique: A Fusion of Elegance, Heritage, and India’s Vibrancy

Cartier proudly inaugurated its second boutique in India at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai, a significant milestone following its establishment in New Delhi. This expansion seamlessly aligns with Cartier’s century-long affinity for the country, where the rich tapestry of India’s influence has intricately shaped Cartier’s stylistic language.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by the presence of House Ambassador Deepika Padukone, underscoring the brand’s commitment to its enduring relationship with India. Sophie Doireau, CEO of Cartier Middle East, India, Africa, and Turkey, highlighted the vibrancy of India, praising its dynamic and youthful population that draws inspiration from its heritage while innovating for a brighter future. She stated, “The launch of our boutique in Mumbai is a testament to the Maison’s commitment to a long-lasting relationship that has had a significant impact on Cartier’s craftsmanship for over a century.”

Designed by the renowned Parisian agency Moinard Bétaille, the Mumbai boutique serves as a captivating confluence of Parisian savoir-faire and Mumbai’s vibrant spirit. Paying homage to local heritage, the space features bespoke creations and finishes, with a striking panther mural welcoming visitors. The boutique unfolds into distinct salons, each adorned with colors and motifs reflecting various facets of Indian design, from lotus petal-inspired wallpapers to traditional paisley motifs.

The VIP Salon, designed for utmost privacy and comfort, stands as a testament to Cartier’s meticulous attention to detail. Its coffered ceilings draw inspiration from the intricate architecture of carved wooden Havelis, providing an intimate space for clients to explore Cartier’s most coveted creations.

Gaetan Guillosson, Country Manager of India, emphasized the opening of the Mumbai boutique as a pivotal chapter in Cartier and India’s shared legacy. He highlighted the boutique’s design, seamlessly blending an intrinsically Indian sense of style by unifying elements of architecture, nature, and vibrant colors to create an ambient space that perfectly showcases Cartier’s most desirable creations.
