CaratLane, a Tata Group company and one of India’s leading omnichannel fine jewellery brands, has announced the launch of its new advanced manufacturing facility in Chennai, marking a major step in the company’s expansion and operational growth journey. Situated in the SIDCO industrial area at No: 56, Irandankattalai, Thirumudivakkam, Tamil Nadu, the 32,000 sq. ft. facility is spread across four dedicated floors and has been developed to significantly strengthen the brand’s manufacturing operations.
The newly launched unit is expected to double CaratLane’s production capacity, enabling the company to meet increasing customer demand across India while continuing to focus on quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. The facility is also expected to generate nearly 100 specialised jobs, contributing to local employment and economic development.

The manufacturing unit is equipped to produce a wide range of jewellery categories, including everyday wear and premium solitaire pieces. The facility incorporates advanced technologies designed to improve precision, efficiency, and productivity, including:
● High-precision 3D printers for intricate prototyping
● Advanced faceting machines for superior brilliance and finish
● High-capacity laser cutting systems for enhanced productivity
● Specialised equipment for lightweight and durable castings
The integration of these technologies is expected to reduce production lead times significantly, enabling quicker turnaround from design conceptualisation to final customer delivery.
In line with CaratLane’s sustainability goals, the facility also adopts environmentally conscious practices. It features solar panels capable of generating 40 kW of clean energy and an advanced water recycling system designed to optimise water reuse and minimise environmental impact.
The inauguration of the new manufacturing facility further highlights CaratLane’s continued commitment to innovation, responsible growth, and operational excellence as the brand strengthens its footprint across India.
