The new members come from 33 countries and represent 48 nationalities. As a result, the BoF 500 now includes 1,713 people from 104 nationalities.

The 2026 class covers designers, executives, models, athletes, media figures, creatives, entrepreneurs and retailers.

BoF 500 Recognises Fashion’s Wider Influence

The BoF 500 launched in 2013. Since then, it has recognised people who have a major impact on the fashion industry.

BoF selects new members through several sources. These include nominations from existing BoF 500 members, industry research and global intelligence gathered by its editorial team.

The index also looks beyond traditional fashion roles. It recognises people who influence fashion through media, culture, business and other creative fields.

Imran Amed, Founder and CEO of The Business of Fashion, said:

“At a moment when the world is focused on borders, fashion’s strength remains its openness. The BoF 500 is our annual reminder of that: a community of people from every corner of the world — and every corner of the industry — whose talent and tenacity are shaping what comes next.”
