BGMEA President SM Mannan aims for $100 billion in garment export revenue by 2030, promising industry commitment.
SM Mannan (Kochi) emphasized the importance of fulfilling the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for a prosperous and poverty-free Bangladesh. He made this statement after the board of BGMEA paid tribute to Mujibur Rahman at his mausoleum in Gopalganj. Mannan highlighted the responsibility of achieving economic liberation as envisioned by the Father of the Nation.
The current BGMEA president emphasized the goal of improving the lives of all citizens and ensuring freedom for everyone. Former BGMEA officials and current members, including Md Siddiqur Rahman, Md Khosru Chowdhury, Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, Md Nasir Uddin, and Abdullah Hil Rakib, attended the event in support of this vision.
The current BGMEA directors present at the meeting included Asif Ashraf, Md Imranur Rahman, Shovon Islam, Md. Ashikur Rahman (Tuhin), Anowar Hossain (Manik), Mesbah Uddin Khan, Shams Mahmud, Rajiv Chowdhury, Md. Jakir Hossain, Nusrat Bari Asha, Md. Mohiuddin Rubel, Barrister Shehrin Salam Oishee, Md. Nurul Islam, Saifuddin Siddiquie Sagar, and Md. Rezaul Alam (Miru).
BGMEA President SM Mannan was inspired by the Liberation War and urged everyone to work towards building a ‘Smart Bangladesh’ by 2041, in line with the vision of a ‘Golden Bangladesh’ set by the Prime Minister.
