The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the designers selected for the 2024/25 Newgen programme, a support initiative for emerging talents. Partnered with Pull&Bear, BFC Newgen aims to cultivate responsible fashion brands with global impact. Industry panels chose designers like Aaron Esh, Ancuta Sarca, and Charlie Constantinou based on creativity and unique design aesthetic. This year’s cohort also includes Chet Lo, Derrick, and Harri, among others. BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent, Sarah Mower MBE, chaired the selection panels.
BFC Newgen provides financial grants, showcasing opportunities, mentoring, and training for designers to enhance their business skills and infrastructure. Pull&Bear is the new principal partner offering financial support, mentorship, and a storytelling platform through ‘Canvas for Creativity’. Applications for the program were open from January 15 to March 1, 2024, covering categories like Ready to Wear womenswear, menswear, and accessories.
BFC NEWGEN, launched in 1993, supports designers like McQueen, Kane, Jones, and Quinn, among others, in the fashion industry.
