BE GREEN HEROES, in collaboration with Clean Recycling Initiative™ and HEAT-MX™, has announced the launch of the International True Sustainability Competition (ITSC) 2026, previously known as the International Sustainability Marketing Competition (ISMC).
The global competition invites post-secondary students from around the world to create campaigns that raise awareness about environmental misinformation and encourage sustainability narratives grounded in scientific evidence rather than surface-level perceptions.
The latest edition follows the success of ISMC 2024, which engaged nearly 1,500 students from 702 post-secondary institutions across 120 countries, making it one of the largest sustainability-focused student competitions globally.
For 2026, the competition introduces Web3-based recognition systems for participants, including registrants, competitors, and winners, alongside monetary rewards for winning entries. The initiative aims to broaden global participation while integrating sustainability education with digital engagement tools.
“We are pleased to once again present this global event, now offering enhanced learning experiences and Web3 based recognition for all participants. We paused the competition in 2025 to focus on integrating it into the BE GREEN HEROES learning platform under the LEARN. EARN. ACT. principles. The result is a stronger program, where participants access free learning materials and earn certificates for Green Hero Coins (GHC), with tokens to be issued upon official launch,” said Sae Chang, President and CEO of BE GREEN HEROES, Clean Recycling Initiative™ and HEAT-MX™.
“This truly innovative platform connects science based learning with recognition through Green Hero Coins and enables participants to engage in BGH’s operational decisions. While this competition is currently open to post secondary students, similar opportunities will soon be extended to the general public and high school students,” he added.
The organisers will also conduct multiple information sessions across different time zones to support international participation and provide additional guidance for applicants.
More information is available on the official BE GREEN HEROES website.
