Authentic Brands Group has named Sanjeet Mehta as Executive Vice President, Head of India, marking a significant step in its global growth strategy. With over 25 years of experience in retail, licensing, and business development, Mehta previously led Disney’s consumer products and retail segment across South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
At Authentic, Mehta will spearhead the expansion of the company’s brand portfolio in India, focusing on retail, e-commerce, and licensing partnerships. He will collaborate with Henry Stupp, Regional President, EMEIA, to drive growth across key sectors including fashion, sports, home, and entertainment.
His leadership experience includes notable roles at Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein (Murjani Group), Nimbus Communications, Villeroy & Boch, and over a decade at Disney where he played a key role in scaling operations in India.
Mehta, who began his new role on March 10, will operate from Mumbai and aims to establish Authentic as a dominant player in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
