The evening of July 31, the design team of Shantanu Mehra and Nikhil Mehra debuted “Etheria” during India Couture Week for their company, Shantnu & Nikhil. The company’s menswear and womenswear collections were influenced by travels around Italy and nodded to the Gatsby Era with traditional cocktail dresses.
On day seven of India Couture Week, Shantnu & Nikhil drew inspiration from the wonders of travel to design ensembles that combined traditional Indian craft methods with vintage and Roman style elements. Menswear included dramatic draperies and three-piece layered designs, and bridal looks included beaded capes that nodded to the 1920s.
Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, two actors, closed the event by strutting down the runway in elaborate ivory outfits. Dillano Luxurious Jewels, the jewellery sponsor of the show, provided even more glitz to the outfits.
