Just so you know, the bride had two more looks on her wedding day.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal wed in a small ceremony in Mumbai, wearing similar off-white outfits. The bride donned two colorful ensembles for the reception, but her wedding attire complemented the low-key affair’s white tone.
The Heeramandi actress, wearing a vibrant red Varanasi silk brocade sari by Sanjay Garg’s Raw Mango label, posed alongside her spouse in white. Sonakshi Sinha wore a plain red top with the handwoven sari known as “Chand Buta,” which has crescent moons. A towering stack of crimson bangles and a specially designed choker set from Tyaani Fine Jewellery, owned by Karan Johar, completed her ensemble.
The mission of Sanjay Garg’s Raw Mango is to preserve Indian textile customs. Each of their patterns has a rich history and is made in the alleys of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Varanasi. The crimson sari worn by Sonakshi Sinha is taken from their 18th-century textile collections.
After changing quickly, the bride was spotted wearing a crimson Anita Dongre kurta set. Tropical themes abound in this silk costume, which is designed with zardozi and chain embroidery. Even though the House of Anita Dongre was established in 1995, her creations continue to regularly appear in the closets of both royalty and Bollywood stars, despite the fashion industry’s periodic flirtation with a fresh look. During her first trip to India in 2016, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, wore one of her pieces (the dress was in such great demand that it crashed her website). Sonakshi Sinha has already dazzled with her creations.
The designer’s sharara outfits have been spotted on Katrina Kaif, Dia Mirza, and Alia Bhatt. She remains a favorite in 2024, with Sinha selecting Dongre for her wedding attire.
