ASDC Partners’ Forum 2024: Promoting Cohesion and Creativity in the Automobile Sector

New Delhi, India –The ASDC Partners’ Forum was successfully held by the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) on July 12, 2024, at the Indian Habitat Center in New Delhi. Leaders in the industry, specialists, and interested parties gathered to talk about the future of the automobile industry at this important event. The theme for this year, “Collaborate, Empower, Accelerate, Achieve,” highlighted ASDC’s commitment to promoting empowerment and unity within the sector in order to achieve success as a whole. As honorary guests, Drs. Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director of AICTE, Suhas Deshmukh, Director of NCVET, and Rodney Reviere, Cluster Coordinator of GIZ India, stressed the critical role that skill development plays in furthering industry advancement. Arindam Lahiri, CEO of ASDC, and Vice President Vinkesh Gulati also offered their opinions.

Our dedication is further demonstrated by our recent partnership with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to introduce the National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) 2024, for which over 850 schools have already registered. These kinds of programs not only include and motivate students all around India, but they also demonstrate the enormous difference that group efforts like this forum can make.”

The announcement that ASDC and BYD will be working together to start the annual BYD Innovate-a-thon competition was one of the forum’s highlights this year. Through the promotion of creativity, teamwork, innovation, sustainability, and excellence, this competition seeks to bring students from various academic backgrounds together in the Electric Vehicle Domain. With an MOU exchange and a presentation by Mr. Rajeev Chauhan & Ms. Shivani Chaudhary, who will act as BYD’s spokespersons, BYD formally launched this effort at the ASDC Partners’ Forum.

Every year, students from all disciplines come together for the BYD and ASDC Innovate-a-thon in the Electric Vehicle Domain, which promotes excellence, creativity, teamwork, and invention. There will be three rounds to the competition: the first two will take place online, and the last round will take place offline.

With an eye toward the future, ASDC is dedicated to carrying out its objective of supporting development and progress in the automotive sector.
