Arvind Ltd., a leading textile-to-technology conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Sunitha Lal as its new Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).

In her new role, Sunitha will collaborate closely with Arvind’s leadership team to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience. She will focus on talent attraction, development, and retention, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Her mandate also includes strengthening performance management systems and building agile HR frameworks that empower teams and support business excellence.

A Proven HR Leader
Before joining Arvind, Sunitha served as CHRO at Ather Energy for eight years, where she helped shape the company’s culture from its early stages and supported its rise as a key player in India’s electric vehicle sector.
She has also held leadership positions at Matrimony.com, AIG Systems, and Mphasis, leading initiatives across talent management, HR-business partnerships, and organizational development. With over 25 years of HR experience, she is widely recognized for her work in organizational design and leadership development.
Sunitha holds a Master’s degree in Labour Management and a Diploma in Labour and Administrative Laws. A practitioner of Group Relations methodology, she has participated in several international Group Relations Conferences as both a member and staff.
