Arvind Limited has announced a significant global expansion with the launch of Arvind Atelier (FZC), a wholly owned subsidiary in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), UAE, alongside the opening of a dedicated Design Hub in London.
This dual expansion strengthens Arvind’s global operating model by integrating design, sourcing, and manufacturing capabilities across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the Americas. The strategy is aimed at improving speed, flexibility, and responsiveness for international brand partners.
Punit Lalbhai said the move marks a key milestone in the company’s global growth journey, enabling closer proximity to key markets while enhancing delivery efficiency and responsible manufacturing solutions.
Rakesh Chadha has been appointed to lead the newly formed entity. With over three decades of experience in global apparel sourcing and supply chain management, he will oversee customer engagement, regional expansion, sourcing operations, and strategic partnerships across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
The London Design Hub will focus on customer engagement, trend analysis, and product development, while the UAE-based Arvind Atelier will manage sourcing, logistics coordination, and manufacturing integration. Together, the two hubs form a complementary structure designed to streamline global apparel operations.
Arvind Atelier will function as an integrated sourcing platform across key categories including denim, casualwear, shirts, knits, sweaters, essentials, and activewear. This enables global brands to consolidate multiple product categories under a single sourcing partner.
The expansion builds on Arvind Limited’s established manufacturing scale. In FY25, the company produced approximately 37 million garments and recorded woven fabric volumes of around 128 million metres, reinforcing its position as a leading global textile manufacturer. It also remains one of the world’s largest denim producers, with an annual capacity exceeding 110 million metres.
The company’s international strategy aligns with growing demand in Europe and MENA markets, supported by strong apparel import figures and long-term regional growth projections. The initiative also coincides with the anticipated UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, expected to further enhance bilateral textile and apparel trade.
With this expansion, Arvind Limited strengthens its position as a globally integrated textile and apparel player, bridging design innovation with scalable manufacturing capabilities across key international markets.
