Apparel Group, a global fashion and retail company, has teamed with British apparel and outerwear brand Barbour to grow into the Gulf Cooperation Council region. Apparel Group wants to open its first barbour store in Dubai by next spring.
“We are excited to announce Apparel Group’s exclusive partnership with British heritage and lifestyle brand Barbour,” Apparel Group wrote on LinkedIn. “The agreement intends to expand Barbour’s footprint in the GCC, with the first Barbour store opening in Dubai in Spring 2025, bringing the famous brand closer to our customers. Stay tuned for future updates!”
Along with its impending Dubai store, Barbour plans to grow into all GCC markets, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar. Barbour will also release a line titled ’52 Weeks All-Summer Line’ for GCC markets, containing a variety of the label’s classic designs and bestsellers.
“We are excited to collaborate with Apparel Group as our exclusive distributor partner,” Barbour’s managing director of worldwide distributors, Neil Parker, told Apparel Resources. “Their significant experience and industry knowledge in the region will be critical as we plan to launch our first store in Dubai in Spring 2025. This expansion into the Middle East is consistent with Barbour’s worldwide growth plan, and we are excited to offer new clients in the region a timeless wardrobe of lifestyle clothing and accessories inspired by our British heritage.”
