Hossain Dyeing & Printing Mills Ltd. Of Anwar Group recently participated in the FASHION WORLD TOKYO fair, the country’s largest international fashion trade show. Faizah Mehmood, Deputy Managing Director of Anwar Group, shared key strategies with Textile Today for entering the Japanese market.
Faizah mentioned that Hossain Dyeing & Printing Mills Ltd. Participated in the FaW TOKYO fair for the second year in a row. They received a positive and engaging response, showcased their products to gather market feedback, and exhibited linen and sustainable fashion ranges.
Faizah highlighted the importance of focusing on the Japanese market due to intense competition in the USA and EU markets. She explained that Japan’s fashion market values uniqueness, quality, and trust, making it a lucrative market for their products. Japanese buyers have high expectations and standards, requiring suppliers to meet stringent criteria and develop samples over a long period to gain their trust. This emphasis on quality and trust sets the Japanese market apart from others globally.
Faizah highlighted the value-addition aspect of the market, where unique products like pineapple fabric and innovative cotton twill fabric from the FaW TOKYO fair were showcased. They aim to develop similar products in the future. Faizah emphasized the importance of learning from the Japanese market and replicating innovative ideas in other leading markets like the USA and EU.
