Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Hosts Global Conference on SDGs

A three-day international conference called “Synergizing Eco Interventions for Achieving SDGs” will be held at the tranquil Kochi Brahmasthanam campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus, from March 5–7, 2025. The event, which is being organized by the Departments of Visual Media and Communication and Commerce and Management, intends to investigate creative ways to accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through cooperative efforts and environmentally beneficial interventions.

Abstract submissions has started from January and will remain open till on February 10, 2025.

The conference will cover topics like climate action, biodiversity protection, green technological advances, and the circular economy through engaging panel discussions, interactive workshops, and practical training sessions. Discussions on important subjects like green commerce, the role of media in the SDGs, and AI for sustainability will be led by renowned experts, such as Dr. Erik Bean (Indiana Tech University, USA), Dr. Harsha Bhargavi (Ministry of Culture, Government of India), and Dr. Nirmalya Mukherjee (Centre for Public Health Research).

In order to celebrate innovation in environmental activism, participants will have the chance to participate in creative competitions involving photography, short films, and poster design. Workshops on organic farming, AI technologies for sustainability, and eco-product creation enhanced the experiential learning process even further.
