ALLIED Feather + Down, a global leader in high-performance, responsibly sourced, and sustainably processed down, is advancing its transparency initiatives in line with upcoming European Union regulations. The company will share insights from this work at Première Vision Paris (September 16–18, booth 6L66).
In anticipation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements, ALLIED is collaborating with Green Threads DPP on a comprehensive audit of its down processing facilities. This builds on the company’s prior achievements with the Responsible Down Standard and its Track My Down traceability tool, setting a new benchmark for transparency in the down industry.
“As a renewable and biodegradable byproduct of the food industry, down is among the most sustainable insulation options available,” said Daniel Uretsky, President, ALLIED Feather + Down. “Our work with Green Threads provides the data needed to substantiate these claims, helping partner brands prepare for future transparency regulations.”
By late 2025, the EU is expected to finalize standards for ESPR and DPP compliance. With its proactive approach, ALLIED will be able to equip partner brands with detailed sustainability data to meet regulatory requirements and strengthen consumer trust.
“ALLIED is at the forefront of supply chain transparency,” said Ross Alexander, CEO, Green Threads DPP. “The audits we are conducting will not only ease compliance but also offer a competitive edge at retail, where informed purchasing is increasingly valued.”
