The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode has revealed its preliminary calendar for the Spring/Summer 2025 season, which includes 70 shows and 38 presentations. Weinsanto will start the week on September 23rd, while Louis Vuitton will end on October 1st.
Alessandro Michele’s runway debut at Valentino is one of the week’s most anticipated presentations. After joining the Roman House in March, the designer unveiled a surprise resort collection on the final day of Milan Men’s Week in June. Chanel will hold its first ready-to-wear show since Virginie Viard’s departure in June, while Dries Van Noten will exhibit for the first time without Van Noten. The houses’ studios will create both collections.
Maison Margiela and Givenchy, which have yet to find a creative director since Matthew Williams’ departure in December, were not on the agenda. Off-White, under the creative supervision of Ib Kamara, will debut in New York.
New York-based Gabriela Hearst will bring her namesake collection to Paris for the first time since spring 2021, while Ludovic de Saint Sernin will return to his hometown after a showcase in New York last season. Y/Project has also returned to the calendar after canceling its Autumn/Winter 2024 presentation in March. Seán McGirr and Chemena Kamali will each present their second collections for McQueen and Chloé.
