AK|OK Anamika Khanna Makes Paris Debut with Spring/Summer 2027 Collection

AK|OK Anamika Khanna presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection in Paris on 5 October 2026, bringing contemporary Indian craftsmanship, versatile silhouettes and the spirit of individuality to a modern Parisian apartment.

AK|OK Anamika Khanna made its Paris debut on 5 October 2026, marking a new chapter for the brand with its Spring/Summer 2027 collection. Set within a Parisian apartment, the presentation explored the idea of a modern Indian home through objects, textures and contemporary design.

The brand also held a two-day showroom on 4 and 5 October, introducing its distinctive design language to Paris’s fashion community, including press, buyers, stylists, talent and industry stakeholders.

Paris Sets the Stage for AK|OK

Paris provided a natural setting for the collection, reflecting the city’s contemporary spirit, individuality and openness to reinvention. These ideas align with AK|OK’s approach to fashion, which embraces fluidity, personal expression and freedom from fixed rules.

For Spring/Summer 2027, the brand revisits familiar wardrobe staples, including shirts, jackets, trousers, skirts and dresses. Through changes in proportion, construction and styling, these everyday pieces take on new forms.

Versatility remains central to the collection. Layered, lived-in dressing allows garments to move between different moods, occasions and expressions of identity.

Indian Craft Meets Contemporary Design

The collection draws inspiration from the textures and details of modern India. It brings together chikankari, also known as shadow work, hand painting, prints, metal thread embroidery and layered embroidery.

Rather than presenting traditional craft in familiar ways, the collection reworks these techniques through distortion, displacement and layering. As a result, Indian craftsmanship becomes part of a contemporary wardrobe with a relaxed and expressive feel.

The designs also explore the beauty of incomplete and partially visible details. Fragments of everyday life and nature, including birds, flowerpots and forest imagery, appear across the collection.

Hand-painted elements dissolve into prints, while embroidery overlaps and familiar garments take on new shapes. These details create a sense of movement and discovery throughout the collection.

A Modern Indian Home in Paris

The presentation unfolded within the setting of a modern Indian home, where objects, textures and design details brought contemporary Indian sensibilities into the Parisian space.

Familiar elements sat alongside new interpretations, reflecting the collection’s approach to dressing. This setting also reinforced the brand’s interest in individuality, personal expression and the reinterpretation of everyday objects and garments.

Anamika Khanna on the Spirit of AK|OK

Anamika Khanna, Creative Director and Co-Founder, AK|OK, said, “C’est OK is about giving yourself permission to be exactly who you are. With this collection, we took familiar pieces and looked at them differently, through proportion, craft and the way they are worn. There is something very liberating about taking what you know and making it your own. For me, that is the spirit of AK|OK: ease, individuality and the freedom to find your own way.”

The collection’s accompanying message, C’est OK, reflects this philosophy. It encourages people to take their time, start over, embrace change and make choices that feel true to themselves.

Building a Presence in Paris

The Spring/Summer 2027 showroom and presentation mark the beginning of AK|OK’s engagement with Paris’s fashion community. The brand aims to build a sustained relationship with the city, with future collaborations and activations planned.

Through its Paris debut, AK|OK Anamika Khanna brings Indian craft and contemporary design into an international fashion conversation, while continuing to explore individuality, versatility and the freedom to reinterpret familiar styles.
