Rai Bachchan’s train, which fanned out from the end of her gown, was embellished with hand-beaten gold flowers and had molten gold detailing on the bust. Since gold “embodied a certain timelessness” in the actor’s life and profession, designers Falguni and Shane Peacock decided to honor the actor with this decision.
