Air India has revealed its highly anticipated new collection of uniforms for both cabin and cockpit crew.
Designed by renowned Indian couturier Manish Malhotra, the uniforms showcase a vibrant array of
colors and timeless designs. Drawing inspiration from Indian heritage and aesthetics while infusing 21st
century style, elegance, and comfort, the collection will be gradually introduced over the next few
months, beginning with the launch of Air India’s first Airbus A350.

Campbell Wilson, CEO & Managing Director of Air India, expressed confidence that Manish Malhotra’s
innovative designs would usher in an exciting new chapter for Air India, aligning with the airline’s new
identity, service principles, and global aviation aspirations.

Manish Malhotra, in turn, shared his honor in designing uniforms for Air India, considering it a privilege
to contribute to the national flag carrier and showcase the elegance and charm of Indian fashion.
The new uniforms pay homage to India’s rich cultural legacy, featuring a color scheme that includes
touches of gold, burgundy, eggplant, and deep red. The Air India In-flight Services team, in collaboration with cabin crew representatives, meticulously tested and developed the new designs.
The cockpit crew will wear a classic black double-breasted suit adorned with a Vista-inspired graphic,
symbolizing professionalism, agelessness, and the gravity of the aviation industry. Male cabin crew
members will sport black brogues, while their female counterparts will wear dual-tone block heels in
black and burgundy. Female cabin staff uniforms will include sling bags and pearl earrings.

Looking ahead, Air India plans to release uniforms for ground staff, engineers, and security personnel in
due course, providing a cohesive and distinctive look across its entire team.
