Breaking the traditional mold of show stoppers, Rashmika walked the red carpet in a stunning white lehenga with elaborate pearl and sequin embellishments. Vicky Kaushal, who closed the event, created a beautiful pastel palette and matched her in an ivory and gold bandh extravaganza.
Unveiled as the grand finale of Couture Week 2024, Falguni Shane Peacock’s “Rang Mahal” collection was a captivating tribute to India’s rich legacy. This exhibition was produced in cooperation with Swadesh, a company committed to protecting India’s textile heritage and helping its craftspeople.
The collection, which was influenced by the opulence of royal palaces, was a vibrant mosaic of hues, textures, and deft craftsmanship. Rich, luxurious Kanjivaram silks served as the basis for this exquisite outfit. These saris, embellished with genuine gold and silver zari, gave off a royal vibe.
The designers brought to life the splendor of the bygone age by painstakingly incorporating famous Indian symbols like peacocks, elephants, and floral patterns. Every item was an homage to the talent and commitment of Indian weavers and embroiderers, whose deft use of needlework and weaving methods gave the designs life.
The traditional Indian textile aesthetics were expertly combined with Falguni Shane Peacock’s unique style to create a collection that was both modern and classic. The addition of Chikankari details and Banarasi brocade lehengas enhanced the look even more, making for a very remarkable fashion experience.
