Adidas is set to unveil a special edition of its Adidas Ultra 4D Mid sneaker in collaboration with Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man 2 video game. The unique Spider-Man 2 x Adidas Ultra 4D Mid sneaker features a Cloud White/Core Black/Team Collegiate Red color scheme, designed to cater to devoted fans of the Spider-Man series.
Sneaker enthusiasts and Spider-Man fans can look forward to the official launch of the Spider-Man 2 x Adidas Ultra 4D Mid on November 3, 2023. Initially, these sneakers will be exclusively available for Adiclub members, but they will also be offered for purchase through Adidas and select retailers, both online and in physical stores. The retail price for these sneakers is set at $230 per pair, and they will be available in sizes designed for men.
This collaboration between Adidas and Marvel coincides with the much-anticipated release of the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 video game, which officially became available on October 20. While gamers around the world were immersing themselves in the virtual adventures of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, a real-world collaboration between Adidas and Marvel was in the works. This collaboration includes a football cleat, training apparel, and the Spider-Man 2 x Adidas Ultra 4D shoe.
Now, Adidas and Spider-Man enthusiasts can look forward to the release of the Adidas Ultra 4D Mid x Spider-Man 2 sneaker, inspired by the Evolved Suit from the game. This unique and limited edition shoe will be produced in a run of 10,035 numbered pairs.
The exterior of the sneaker features pristine white Primeknit material with subtle web stitching for a striking contrast. Red leather accents adorn the mudguard, midfoot, and eyestays, paying homage to the classic Spider-Man costume. The design also incorporates blue lightning patterns, representing Miles Morales’ bio-electric abilities, which are a prominent feature of the game. This distinctive blue is carried over to the thermoplastic urethane (TPU) heel counter, tongue tag, and heel tab, creating a cohesive and stylish look.
The sneaker is completed with a blue 4D midsole and a rubber outsole, combining both visual appeal and practical functionality.
