Adidas Originals is celebrating Connaught Place’s cultural legacy ahead of its new store opening through a series of experiential neighbourhood activations that honour the people, places and establishments that have shaped Delhi’s iconic destination.
Built around the idea of “legacy meeting legacy,” the initiative brings adidas Originals together with longstanding Connaught Place establishments including Nizam’s, Nirula’s, Gillu Florist, Mahatta & Co. and Radio & Gramophone House.
The neighbourhood takeover gives familiar CP landmarks an Originals-inspired transformation, creating new experiences for visitors while highlighting the establishments’ enduring role in Delhi’s evolving culture.
The activations include special menus and co-branded elements at Nizam’s and Nirula’s, an Originals-inspired bouquet at Gillu Florist, an archival showcase at Mahatta & Co., and a music-led experience at Radio & Gramophone House.
Through these interventions, adidas Originals is bringing its values of individuality, authenticity and self-expression into the heart of Connaught Place. The initiative transforms familiar neighbourhood spaces into platforms for art, food, music, culture and community, while celebrating the establishments that have remained cultural fixtures over the years.
Rather than simply announcing its arrival in Connaught Place, adidas Originals is positioning the new store opening as a celebration of the neighbourhood itself, recognising the “Originals” who have been part of its story long before the brand became its newest neighbour.
