Align by Ami Opens in Mumbai with an Integrated Approach to Wellness

Align by Ami, a new clinical wellness practice in Bandra, Mumbai, brings osteopathy, strength training and recovery services together under one roof. Founded by Ami, the practice focuses on Indian women’s health and treats the body as an interconnected system.

The centre combines clinical care with movement and recovery. Its services include osteopathic assessment and treatment, Lagree Megaformer training, pelvic floor therapy and scar therapy. In addition, a dedicated recovery suite offers a floating salt bath, infrared sauna, cold plunge, pressotherapy and targeted cold wave therapy.

Rather than offering these services separately, Align by Ami connects them to support individual wellness needs.

Founder Ami Brings Osteopathy Experience from London

Ami completed an integrated master’s degree in osteopathy at Health Sciences University London. During her studies, she specialised in women’s health and paediatric osteopathy.

She also trained under practitioners including Valéria A Ferreira, Jane Watt and Maria Elliott. Her additional qualifications include MummyMOT practitioner training, visceral training, internal pelvic floor assessment and paediatric specialisation through the Osteopathic Centre for Children. She has also completed training in Lagree instruction, medical acupuncture and sports taping.

After three years of clinical practice in London, Ami identified a gap in India’s wellness sector. She saw a need for spaces where clinical treatment, movement and recovery work together.

As Ami explains, “Osteopathy looks at the body as an interconnected system. Structure and function are interlinked, and a change in one area can influence another. How someone moves, builds strength and recovers can all influence how their body functions. That way of thinking naturally extends beyond treatment itself.”

Women’s Health at the Centre of Care

Women’s health is a key focus at Align by Ami. The practice addresses areas such as postpartum recovery, pelvic floor health and sustainable strength.

These concerns often receive less attention than performance-led fitness goals. However, understanding the body’s needs can help women make informed decisions about movement and recovery.

Every client begins with a detailed assessment. Based on this, the team develops an individual approach rather than following a fixed programme.

For example, a woman three months postpartum may need a different plan from someone managing diastasis recti or pelvic floor concerns. Similarly, a woman focused on general strength receives guidance suited to her anatomy, recovery stage and goals.

Ami also highlights the need for greater awareness of pelvic floor health.

“The pelvic floor is still not part of the everyday conversation around women’s health,” Ami says. “I did not know much about it myself before my osteopathic training. The more I learned, the more I realized how closely it is connected to movement, strength and recovery. There needs to be much more awareness and education around it, not only when a problem arises.”

Combining Clinical Care, Strength and Recovery

Align by Ami brings several services together to support a more connected approach to wellness.

The osteopathy practice focuses on assessment and treatment. Meanwhile, Lagree Megaformer sessions support strength training through guided movement.

The Lagree studio limits classes to seven participants. This allows trainers to assess movement and adapt exercises to individual needs.

Clients can also access a dedicated recovery suite. Options include a floating salt bath, infrared sauna and cold plunge, along with pressotherapy and targeted cold wave therapy. These services offer different recovery options depending on the client’s needs and routine.

Pontemed Introduces Pelvic Floor Technology

A key feature of Align by Ami is the Pontemed pelvic floor assessment and treatment chair. The practice reports that this is the first installation of the technology in India.

Unlike conventional pelvic floor chairs that require users to sit upright and actively stabilise their core, Pontemed reclines to support the body during treatment. The system uses Functional Magnetic Stimulation to activate deeper pelvic floor and core muscles.

The treatment is non-invasive, and clients remain fully clothed throughout the session. The technology forms part of the centre’s wider focus on pelvic floor assessment and care.

A Calm Space Designed for Individual Attention

Simran Sethia Design created the clinic’s interiors around the idea that the physical environment can contribute to the overall therapeutic experience.

The design uses warm, muted tones with a single deep red accent. Soft lighting and textured surfaces create a calm atmosphere. As a result, the space aims to help clients feel at ease from the moment they arrive.

Privacy and individual attention also shape the practice. Align by Ami limits capacity rather than focusing on high client volumes. This approach is particularly relevant to osteopathy and pelvic floor care, where personal attention is important.

Pricing and Personalised Wellness Services

Recovery services at Align by Ami range from ₹3,000 to ₹7,500. Osteopathy and Lagree services are priced according to the consultation model.

The practice aims to serve people who are willing to invest time and resources in understanding their bodies. Its approach places the focus on long-term health and individual needs rather than luxury positioning.

Building an Integrated Wellness Model in Mumbai

Align by Ami is opening in Bandra with a focus on establishing its integrated model in Mumbai. Over time, Ami hopes to welcome allied health professionals and traditional practices, including Chinese medicine and Watsu, within the same framework.

“The goal is to bring these three together in one space where you can unwind, de stress and get treated. It is a safe space for conversation as much as for treatment,” Ami explains. “It’s a place where clinical care, movement and recovery are genuinely connected. That’s what’s currently missing in India.”

By bringing clinical care, strength training and recovery together, Align by Ami aims to create a space where women can explore their health needs with individual attention and support.
