FibreTrace® Physical Verification Expands Across North and Central America with YarnProof™

Regional polyester filament yarn producers launch YarnProof™, giving brands physical evidence of origin through real-time verification embedded directly into the fibre.

Polyester filament yarn producers across North and Central America have launched YarnProof™, a regional initiative powered by FibreTrace® technology. The initiative aims to strengthen origin verification and supply chain transparency across the textile value chain.

YarnProof uses FibreTrace technology to verify the regional origin of polyester filament yarn at different stages of the supply chain. The system gives brands, manufacturers and regulators an additional way to validate sourcing and compliance.

The technology works by embedding an invisible and persistent tracer directly into polyester filament yarn during extrusion. The tracer remains within the material as it moves from yarn production to fabric manufacturing and the finished product.

An authorised user can scan the yarn, fabric or final product using a FibreTrace handheld scanner. The scanner detects the tracer in real time. Each scan then creates a verification event that links the physical material to relevant production and sourcing records.

By working alongside existing documentation, YarnProof adds a physical layer of origin evidence. This can help support trade compliance, strengthen supply chain integrity and protect regional manufacturing.

For participating producers, the system also provides an additional assurance layer for yarn-forward requirements under CAFTA-DR and USMCA.

The collective effort reflects a growing focus on physical verification as a complement to traditional supply chain documentation.

Physical Evidence Strengthens Origin Claims
