The selected students will gain hands-on industry experience across fashion, interior design and visual communication at the India Design Show 2026.
Twenty-seven students from JD Institute of Fashion Technology have earned a place in the Industry Apprenticeship programme at the India Design Show in Mumbai. They secured their places through a video introduction round that shortlisted 27 finalists from 75 students.
Students to Gain Hands-On Industry Experience
The India Design Show brings together designers, brands and creative professionals. The event features curated showcases, installations, product launches and industry discussions. It also gives participants a chance to share ideas and explore new perspectives across the design sector.
Through the apprenticeship programme, students will experience how the design industry works. They will also see how different creative disciplines come together in a professional setting. This exposure can help them connect classroom learning with real-world practices.
Three Design Disciplines Represented
The 27 finalists come from Fashion, Interior Design and Visual Communication programmes at JD Institute of Fashion Technology. Students from different academic years have earned places in the programme.
The students will attend the India Design Show from October 9 to 11, 2026, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. During the three-day event, they will gain direct exposure to the design community and its professional environment.
JD Institute Encourages Emerging Talent
Mr Yogesh Dalal, Trustee, and Dr Payal Dalal, Director, personally congratulated the students on their achievement and the opportunity.

At JD Institute, we place importance on giving students experiences that broaden their perspective and help them understand the demands of the profession. Being selected for an opportunity of this scale encourages our students to trust their abilities and take their next steps with greater confidence.”
Building Stronger Industry Connections
