Pearl Global Expands Bangladesh Manufacturing Capacity

Pearl Global Industries Limited (PGIL) has commissioned a new manufacturing facility and expanded its sustainable laundry capacity in Bangladesh.

The new manufacturing unit adds around 7 million pieces of annual garment capacity at optimum utilisation. As a result, the company’s total installed manufacturing capacity across its global operations has reached approximately 108 million pieces per year.

The expansion strengthens Pearl Global’s manufacturing presence in Bangladesh. It also supports the company’s strategy of serving global customers through a multi-country production network across South Asia, South-East Asia and Central America.

Bangladesh Remains a Key Manufacturing Market

Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Pulkit Seth, Vice-Chairman & Non-Executive Director, said:

The new facility adds further capacity to Pearl Global’s existing manufacturing ecosystem in Bangladesh. The company expects the expansion to support growing demand from its international customer base.

Sustainable Laundry Capacity Expanded

Alongside the new manufacturing unit, Pearl Global has expanded its in-house sustainable laundry capacity.

According to the company, the investment is expected to improve operational efficiency while reducing washing costs and water consumption. The expanded laundry operations are also expected to generate a ROCE of approximately 18–20%.

Mr. Pallab Banerjee, Managing Director, added:

“The commissioning of the new manufacturing facility, adding~7 million pieces of capacity, further strengthens Pearl Global’s multi-country manufacturing network, offers a well-established apparel manufacturing ecosystem, supported by a skilled and cost-efficient workforce. The expansion will further enable us to leverage this ecosystem while meeting the evolving requirements of our global customers. In addition, the expansion of our in-house sustainable laundry capacity will enhance operational efficiency, reduce washing costs and water consumption, and is expected to generate a ROCE of approximately 18–20%.”

Pearl Global Reaches 108 Million-Piece Capacity

With the latest investment, Pearl Global’s installed manufacturing capacity has reached approximately 108 million pieces annually across its operating geographies.

The company continues to build its manufacturing network around established apparel production markets. The Bangladesh expansion further supports its ability to combine scale, operational efficiency and sustainability while responding to the requirements of global apparel customers.
