HeiQ and Archroma Win ITMF International Collaboration Award 2026

HeiQ and Archroma have received the ITMF International Collaboration Award 2026.

The award recognises their strategic partnership in textile innovation. It also highlights their work in sustainability and industry competitiveness.

The collaboration focuses on bringing advanced antimicrobial and odour-control technologies to textile manufacturers, brands and retailers worldwide.

Combining Global Expertise

The partnership brings together the strengths of both companies. Archroma contributes its global commercial and technical network.

Meanwhile, HeiQ provides expertise in high-performance and sustainable material technologies. Together, the companies aim to make advanced textile solutions more accessible.

This approach helps textile mills and brands adopt functional technologies more efficiently. It also supports the wider scaling of sustainable innovation across the textile value chain.

“Our collaboration demonstrates what can be achieved when two organizations with complementary strengths unite around a shared purpose,” said Raquel Vaz Vieira, Executive Vice President, HeiQ Advanced Materials. “This award is not only a recognition of what has been achieved so far, but also an encouragement to continue pushing the boundaries of sustainable textile innovation. We thank ITMF for this honor and our customers, partners, and teams across both organizations whose commitment made this collaboration a success.”

Supporting Sustainable Textile Innovation

The partnership was established as a co-marketing and global distribution collaboration. Since then, HeiQ and Archroma have worked to expand access to sustainable antimicrobial and odour-control technologies.

The companies aim to support textile mills with simpler implementation. In addition, the partnership provides global technical support and compliance-ready solutions.

These technologies are designed to support garment freshness and durability. They also contribute to more responsible textile manufacturing.

HeiQ Mint Supports Odour Control

One of the technologies supported through the partnership is HeiQ Mint. It is a bio-based, non-biocidal odour-control technology.

HeiQ Mint captures odour molecules within textiles. These molecules are then released during laundering.

As a result, garments can remain fresher for longer. The technology can also help reduce the need for frequent washing.

Fewer washing cycles can support lower consumption of water, energy and detergent. At the same time, the technology is designed to support wearer comfort and garment longevity.

Industry Recognition

Dhirendra Gautam, Vice President, Marketing at Archroma, said: “This recognition from ITMF validates our belief that innovation has greater impact when it is made accessible at scale. Together with HeiQ, we are advancing meaningful transformation for brands and mills worldwide as they adopt more sustainable, high-performance textile technologies.”

The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) is an international forum representing the global textile industry. Founded in 1904, ITMF supports the sector through surveys, studies and publications.

The ITMF International Collaboration Award 2026 highlights the role of cross-company partnerships in advancing textile innovation. For HeiQ and Archroma, the recognition reflects their ongoing work to expand access to sustainable and high-performance textile technologies.
